Materials: Procreate, I used it for these blocky brushes and the simplistic nature of the app

Process: After sketching, I loosely blocked in color, I used the looseness of my brushes and my strokes of paint to give the piece a relaxed feeling, which is how summer feels to me.

Ideas: This piece is like the last one, but summer, instead, her older self (middle) is reflecting on her past younger memories of summer at the beach.

Ideas: Character study before the piece, simple gesture and expression drawings to get a feel of her a bit older.

Materials: Digital for the clean line art look.

Process: sketching on paper then transferring to digital

Ideas: First color study for piece without a reference, learning that without reference I make bland colors.

Materials: Procreate because my final piece would be in procreate.

Process: Sketched on paper then transferred over to Procreate to block in color

Ideas: Final color pick for the work, using online reference and multiple renditions.

Materials: Procreate because thats what I used for my final piece.

Process: Lined my sketches and colored them, here i'm using the same pencil like brush from the other piece, but I decided to switch this.
